Harvest

HARVEST

Sunday 5 October is the date for our harvest celebration and we will again be collecting much needed tinned produce to give to our local foodbank.  There is still a great need locally. St. Matthew's foodbank is politely asking people to provide tinned foods from a standard list (which includes all items given out in the regular food packages).  The standard list can be found online here.  They do not want any perishable foods, out of date foods, alcohol or medicines.

We will put up the window shelves on Thursday 2 October.  Our hope is that many of you will bring a harvest contribution of tins or packaged food which you could please arrange on the shelves on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday.  There was a wonderful response at St. Mark's last year, so let's try to do even better for this year's harvest!

HARVEST SUPPER

Please join us for our Harvest supper on Sunday 5 October at 5.00pm following the 4.00pm service.  This is always a great opportunity for our whole church community to come together to enjoy a meal of cottage pie and dessert with drinks.  The price for adults is £8.00 and children £5.00 with a family ticket £22.00 (max. 2 adults and 3 children).  Places must be booked and paid for in advance and please remember to let us know of any dietary requirements.  Payment can be made by card machine (at any service or in the office) or by cash or cheque. We are also looking for helpers to prepare food and help to set up, serve and clear away.  Please use the sign-up sheets at the back of church or contact Alexia in the church office.  Many thanks.
