Junior Church

Our Junior Church sessions take place every Sunday in term time and you are very welcome to come and join us. All ages start the service in church with their parents, grandparents or carers and then come out to the hall to learn about the theme for the day and sing some songs. After that the children break out into age-appropriate groups. Our youngest children aged 3-4 are in Seashells, 5-7 in Pebbles, 8-11 in Rocks and 11+ in Boulders. Children older than 13 often enjoy becoming young leaders and helping out with the younger age groups. We also have a crèche for those too little to join in Junior Church, which is staffed by parents. In the holidays and on the 3rd Sunday of the month, we run story-time during the service.
Easter Club We run a very popular Easter Club which is held on two days over the Easter holidays, ending in a family service on Good Friday. This is always over-subscribed so send your forms back quickly once they’re out! This club is run by our congregation and involves around 40 helpers, adults and older children, over the 2 days. Children from Reception to Year 6 are able to take part and older ones can help out. It involves a variety of craft, music and story activities with a presentation to parents and grandparents in the family service on Good Friday. Teenagers Our new Youth Group Roots is a collaboration with Surrey Clubs for Young People and has Platinum affiliation status. Roots is run in conunction with local churches The Good Shepherd, Tadworth, St Andrew's, Kingswood and Church of the Wisdom of God, Lower Kingswood. It meets on the 4th Sunday between 5-7pm in the church hall at Lower Kingswood. We have a great Tuck Shop and lots of great play equipment. This is for Year 6 to 17 year olds and with the help of a qualified youth worker, activities and events will vary - offering a great place to meet and get to know each other. Come and see! If you are thinking of attending, please do let us know as we may be able to put you in touch with other St Mark's children attending. T Time Tales T Time Tales is our church group for children aged 4-7 and their carers (and smaller brothers and sisters) which runs after school on Wednesdays in term time. It starts at 3.25pm and includes a story and singing, finishing off with a drink and a biscuit. Messy Church

The highlight of the year is our Christmas production, held on the third Sunday in December. Every child can join in if they wish, either as actors or singers, or non-speaking angels or sheep! We always need parents or teenagers to help out with rehearsals, so there is a role for everyone.
On the 3rd Sunday of the month (except August) we have our very popular Messy Church at 4.00pm. This is a time of fun, crafts, worship and food for all the family. More details of
